Monuments of Delhi : Sir Syed’s Asarus Sanadid (1946-2020) takes one down the memory lane through the eyes of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. The sketches of the monuments of Delhi from Sir Syed Ahmed Khan’s first edition of Asarus Sanadid (1846) have been presented here after 175 years. These monuments have seen the eras of the magnificent medieval Indian rulers, the Colonials, the Independent India, the fast paced 21^st century and now the pandemic. The book presents the urban transformations in and around the historical landscape, pointing towards the challenges of urbanization – as well as telling the stories of the bygone times.
