Practical Vertebrate Zoology (PB)

The subject matter is divided into six parts. The first part includes general instructions for laboratory work, handling of microscope and staining methods. The second part deals with minor and major dissections of various vertebrates prescribed in the syllabi of different universities.

The third part provides systematic study of various animals of different vertebrate classes. The fourth part deals with the slides in general. It provides a brief and comprehensive account of sections of different animals through different organs, structure of tissues and histological structures of different organs. The fifth part begins with the general plan of the vertebrate endoskeleton and introduction of various terms used in the description of skeletal parts and individual bones. The sixth and the last part deals with the study of embryological slides of frog and chick at different stages of development.
