The book 'Molecular Biology and Recombinant DNA Technology' is designed for the graduate students
in Botany, Zoology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology and Agriculture although it is particularly relevant to the
students of B. Sc. Biotechnology of the Telangana universities. The book is divided into three parts,
namely, (i) gene expression and regulation in eukaryotes and (ii) prokaryotes, and (iii) recombinant DNA
technology. Attempt has been made to provide up-to-date information in clear, concise and easily
comprehensible descriptions of various techniques, procedures and concepts. The book has been
written in simple language in a style | followed for teaching to my students. The concepts have been
explained with the help of suitable diagrams and every effort has been made to maintain readability and
facilitate easy comprehension. It is expected to serve as the basic reading resource for the students of
genetics and biotechnology, and would be helpful in various competitive examinations.
